MPENZII is very personal to me, as I’ve always had a strong passion for fashion, beauty, and sharing my African tradition with other cultures. Equally as important to me is how all of the products are made and where they come from. Everything we create at MPENZII begins with natural materials. We are rooted in the African tradition, and our work grows through the relationships with the creators and the artists who make everything possible.
The name Mpenzii means “love” in Swahili. I chose this name because love sits at the center of this company — love for fashion, love for craft, and love for the communities who make these pieces of work possible.

MPENZII is an independent company focused on creating fashion and beauty products through human production and long-term collaborations with local resource manufacturers, designers, and creators. Our company works directly with local artisans, artists, material builders, and clothing producers across Central & West Africa, as well as West Asia, favouring authenticity, quality, and culture over quantity and speed.
Gemstones, botanicals, and heritage materials are found in their natural state, handled with care, and transformed by skilled individuals who have direct connections to the land through generations. Transparency and credibility are integral to our company. Materials are traceable by origin, while production remains intentionally limited to preserve quality, integrity, and environmental balance.
Mpenzii does not define success by scale. Rather, we measure it by material honesty, long-lasting partnerships, and the ability to sustain craftsmanship in ways that respect people, place, and culture. We believe art endures when it remains connected to its origin.
